We built a real-time terminal monitoring, automated alerting and bi-directional ERP integration platform for Starwood Bank with thousands of POS terminals deployed across merchant locations. Manual reconciliation was fully eliminated.
Starwood operates in the banking and financial services sector. The bank provides payment infrastructure with thousands of POS terminals deployed at hundreds of merchant locations nationwide.
As the terminal network grew, centrally monitoring each terminal's status, transaction volume and fault history became an operational necessity. At the same time, the manual reconciliation process maintained with the ERP system reached an unsustainable level in terms of both time and error costs.

As the terminal network scaled, three critical problems became apparent.
The bank depended on field teams to know whether any terminal was active, faulty or offline at any given moment. Problems were noticed late, negatively impacting merchant satisfaction.
Transaction data was manually transferred to the ERP system. The process was extremely time-consuming and prone to human error. Financial reporting was beginning to lose reliability due to delays and inconsistencies.
Terminal technical faults were only noticed late in the day after a merchant complaint. Without a proactive monitoring mechanism, fault duration was prolonged and transaction losses accumulated.
We built an integrated platform for Starwood Bank comprising three core components: a web dashboard for live visibility of the entire terminal network, a proactive alerting mechanism, and bi-directional integration with the bank's core ERP system.
Real-time POS terminal map, status indicators (active/faulty/offline), transaction volume per terminal and merchant details.
Automatic alerts are generated when a terminal goes offline or anomalous transaction patterns are detected, and immediately delivered to relevant teams via SMS and email.
Bi-directional data sync between the POS platform and the bank's core ERP: financial reconciliation, merchant settlements and reporting were fully automated.

Each component works in an integrated manner to give banks end-to-end control over their POS terminal network.
The live location, status and transaction volume of thousands of POS terminals are monitored on an interactive map. Active, faulty and offline terminals are colour-coded for instant identification.
When a terminal goes offline or shows anomalous transaction patterns, the system automatically raises alerts. Responsible teams receive SMS and email notifications in real time.
A bi-directional REST API integration is established between the POS platform and the bank's core ERP. Financial data, reconciliation records and merchant details are synchronised automatically.
Manual ERP reconciliation processes are fully eliminated. Daily transaction data is automatically pushed to the ERP; merchant settlements and reporting are completed on time and error-free.
Per-terminal transaction frequency, volume thresholds and rule-based movement tracking deliver an early-warning mechanism against fraud risk.
Daily, weekly and monthly performance reports per terminal, along with merchant analytics and settlement status reports, are generated on schedule and distributed to relevant stakeholders.
